Trains running again between Grantham and Nottingham following cable theft

Trains are now running again between Grantham and Nottingham following a cable theft earlier this morning which stopped services.

National Rail says services should be back to normal by 1pm. Services were stopped this morning because of signalling problems caused by the theft.

Trains between Liverpool Lime Street and Norwich were diverted and did not call at Grantham.

Passengers were taken by bus between Nottingham and Grantham and there was a limited train service between Grantham and Skegness.
