Vape shop relocates to new premises in Grantham
A vape shop has moved into new premises in Grantham town centre.
The Juice-e-Vaporium, which opened in The George Centre, in Westgate, in 2013, moved into the former Unveiled by Leanne bridal shop premises at 22 Westgate on Monday.
Kam Gray, who owns the business alongside Deborah Taylor, said: “It is in the ideal location. Westgate is always busy and bustling.”
The move has been met with positive reactions from their loyal customers.
Kam added: “Everyone is very happy with the new location. It’s definitely made us feel that we have made the right decision in moving.”
After opening in The George Centre, Deborah and Kam wanted to offer a healthier and cleaner alternative for smokers.
It now has five staff members split between their two stores in Grantham and Melton.
Kam said: “We started out with about 20 flavoured vapours, which were all one range. We now have in excess of 200 from around 30 brands, including unusual flavours.”
The pair say they decided to leave The George Centre after a number of issues.
Kam said: “We are sad to leave as it is such a nice building, but footfall was a big problem and we were unable to secure a lease for the past two years.”
Covid-19 also presented some challenges.
Kam added: “We were operating a home delivery service to our customers during lockdown.
“We travelled to Caythorpe, Long Bennington, Allington and South Witham.
“We still deliver to customers who are self-isolating or shielding.”
