‘Vast majority’ of pupils at Priory Ruskin Academy in Grantham secure first choice university places on A-level results day
The “vast majority” of pupils at an academy have secured their first choice university places on A-level results day.
Pupils at The Priory Ruskin Academy have this morning (Thursday) received their Level 3 results in A-levels and applied BTECs and technical qualifications which will support them in their next steps in education, apprenticeships and employment.
The academy said that “the vast majority of students” have secured their first choice university places in another “very successful” year for Priory Ruskin, including the University of Arts in London.
Particular congratulations went to Charlie T who has secured his place at Oxford University to study History.
The academy added praise to the “large percentage” of students who secured places at Russell Group universities including Durham, York, Nottingham, Newcastle and Sheffield.
Ms Rachel Wyles, headteacher, said: “We are incredibly proud of our students at Ruskin who have worked hard in order to secure their next destinations.
“The students have been resilient, aspirational and shown a real camaraderie over their journey with us, and it is always a real pleasure to see them develop into such well-rounded young people.
“I would like to thank them, our staff and parents and wish them the very best for their future success.”
