Video: Fountain of water shoots more than 20 feet into air in Grantham

Jets of water were sent shooting more than 20 feet into the air in Grantham this morning after a hydrant was accidentally left open.

Footage shows plumes of water spurting into the air on Harrowby Lane, Grantham, which sent a torrent of water running down the road.

The video footage was shot shortly before 8.30am this morning and shows motorists having to drive around the water on the road.

A contractor had accidentally left the hydrant open when removing their hose, which caused the water to shoot into the air.

It has now been turned off.
