Grantham woman jailed for assaulting police officers and harassment
A woman has been jailed for a total of six months after admitting assaulting two police officers and harassing a shopkeeper.
Sara Chilton, aged 23, of William Street, Grantham, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (September 12) when she admitted assaulting a police officer in Grantham on July 13. She was given six months in prison and ordered to pay £50 compensation.
Chilton admitted assaulting another police officer in Market Place, Grantham, on September 11, the day before her appearance, and was given a six-month prison sentence, to run concurrently, and ordered to pay £50 in compensation.
She also admitted harassment without violence against a person at The Market Place Convenience Store in Market Place, Grantham, on September 11, by making repeated phone calls and attending the shop. Magistrates handed her a two-month jail sentence to run concurrently.
Chilton finally admitted threatening to damage or destroy property at the Market Place Convenience Store on September 11. She was handed a six-month jail sentence to run concurrently. She was also given a restraining order to stop her contacting a named person and attending the convenience store. The order lasts until June 11, 2024.
