Grantham Life Saving Club members receive awards




Members of a club that teaches life-saving skills have received awards.

Grantham Life Saving Club members recently received Rookie Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.

The age range of club members is from seven to 18 years old, with the club’s older members receiving Queens Jubilee Awards.

Ruth Bourner, of GLSC, said: “Members attend training sessions to learn life saving skills every week and have worked extremely hard to achieve their awards.

“Grantham Life Saving Club and their parents are all very proud of them.”

The club has been running since 1971 and holds sessions at the Meres Leisure Centre on Wednesday evenings from 7pm.
