Sudbrook Moor Golf Club round-up

After Sudbrook Moor's stand-out county match play achievements last year, David Lee has warmly accepted the accolade of continuing as captain in 2025.

In the South Lincolnshire League Division Three, they will meet South Kyme, Kirton Holme, Thorney Lakes and Tydd St Giles on a home and away basis, fielding six match play pairs.

The season starts before Easter and David is raring to lead his enthusiastic squad.

He has been a Sudbrook Moor member since his early teens, having started his golf at the club's junior coaching clinic, nurtured by Professional Golfers' Association coach Tim Hutton.

David, along with his father and two brothers, tried golf all those years ago and have now been involved for more than 25 years.

His golf experience, along with other team sport involvement, gives him a skilled and mature eye when selecting the partnerships from among his talented squad members.

David will be looking for wholehearted, resilient partnerships and has great plans for his year and again has nominated his captain's charity as Mind.

Senior captain Steve Squires remains in office after the most successful season since 2019, having enjoyed more successes in the match results and lifting the 2024 Social Day Best Team trophy.

The seniors’ South Lincolnshire friendly season is ready to re-start with an early warm-up social day and their first home match in March against Pottergate Golf Club of Lincoln.
