Harrowby United are beaten by Radford in the United Counties League
Harrowby United's four-match unbeaten run came to an end after a disappointing display on Saturday.
The Arrows went down to a 2-0 home reversal against Radford in their United Counties League Division One clash.
With players missing again through injury, it was a game too far with promotion-chasing Radford worthy winners on the day.
Harrowby's afternoon didn't start well either with new striker Elliot King stuck in traffic and he could only arrive at half-time.
The Arrows then got off to the worst possible start when a missed header was seized upon by Radford's tricky winger, Josh Gardner, and his cross ended up in the net after only a minute played.
That set the tone for the match as Radford's young winger was to be a thorn in Harrowby's side all game.
With Radford's big defenders sitting deep, Harrowby struggled to create anything of note in the first half as the visitors looked comfortable going in at half-time one goal up.
King replaced Kyle Reek in a half-time substitution as the Arrows went searching for the equaliser but former Harrowby player Oluyinka Abebowale in the Radford goal was rarely troubled.
King had a couple of half chances which Abebowale saved comfortably.
Radford got their second goal 10 minutes into the second half through Fola Fagbemi and it was virtually game over as they managed the contest well.
It was a disappointing day for the Arrows after their recent good run. Attention now turns to Tuesday night as promotion hopefuls Birstall are the visitors to the JRL Brickwork Stadium.
