Sudbrook Moor Golf Club stages charity Christmas event

After many weeks of an inclement mix of rain or frost, the Charity Day weather was oh so kind for Sudbrook Moor Golf Club.

A wonderfully dry fundraising Team Am-Am was captain Martin Greene's final event of his truly excellent period of office.

The event was superbly organised by Martin's vice-captain, David Lee, and his nominated charity is Marie Curie.

The shotgun-start team stableford of ladies and gents was followed by a prize presentation, over a festive lunch, in a packed clubhouse compiled of members and guests.

An impressive sum of more than £600 was raised and will be added to the 2023 running total of £1,900 that the club has already sent to the chosen charity of Marie Curie over 11 months.

The best stableford scorecard came from team leader Andrew Wain, with Shaun Dick and Lee Gayton.

The Maids-A-Milking were Amanda Roberts, Julia Elliott, Myra Evangelista and Haley Harding.

A magnificent effort had been made for the best dressed team prize and the standard was so high that it was shared by The Santas, with Elves and Sleigh, and The Maids A-Milking.
