Grantham Town host Brighouse in the Northern Premier League East Division
Head coach Louis Bland feels his Grantham Town side can start climbing the league table if they develop a ruthless streak at both ends of the pitch.
The Gingerbreads are currently four points adrift of safety ahead of Saturday's home match with Brighouse in the Northern Premier League East Division.
Bland has been at the Grantham helm for the past three games and has been encouraged by his side's performances despite defeats against the promotion-chasing trio to Hebburn, Carlton and Belper.
He told the club: "It's a massive game for us on Saturday.
"Although the Hebburn game was more of a backs against the wall job, the last two matches have shown we can create problems for teams.
"It's now about finding that killer instinct in front of goal and making sure we defend our box better.
"I know it sounds simple but, if we score goals and stop letting them in, we're actually not bad at everything else.
"We control games and the ball and we now just need to be a bit more clinical in both boxes and, if we do that, I'm pretty sure we will fly up the league. If we don't then we will struggle for a little bit longer."
Grantham go into Saturday's home clash against 12th-placed Brighouse looking for their first league win since the middle of September.
Their latest reversal came at the weekend in a 5-0 away defeat at Belper Town.
The Gingerbreads found themselves a goal down after just two minutes of the match at the Raygar Stadium.
Two goals late in the first half cemented Belper's grip on the game with a fourth arriving early in the second period.
A penalty then sealed Grantham's fate but, despite the margin of defeat, Bland felt his side had competed well for large parts of the contest.
He added: "We conceded an easy goal early on but, from that and until they scored their next one, I thought we were the better side.
"We moved the ball really well and we created some opportunities. We again had one massive chance and I felt we looked ok after conceding which is character from the team and good personality to have a bit about us.
"I felt the 3-0 scoreline at half-time flattered them and we shouldn't be bottom of the table in terms of that performance.
"The reason we are at the bottom is that we can't defend properly at the moment but we will get there eventually."
The Gingerbreads have signed prolific striker Ryan Rushen from Sleaford Town.
The dual registered Tiago Nassunculo is expected to be with parent club Stamford on Saturday but the Daniels' Brad Munns could again feature for the Gingerbreads.
