Grantham Town co-boss ‘Stevo’ says team should play remaining games ‘like every one is a cup final’
Grantham Town go into tomorrow’s home game against King’s Lynn Town on the back of a confidence-boosting 2-1 win at Stourbridge last week, which made it five games unbeaten since Boxing Day.
Joint manager Adam Stevens said the Grantham v King’s Lynn fixture is always an exciting one: “I had battles with them in the FA Vase and when we were both chasing promotion from the league below.
“We hope to keep them out and take all three points. It is about time we started to get on top of games at home. We have got into teams early away from home and need to do the same at home. The surface helps us to get at people. The last couple of games, we have had a hairdryer of a wind that has made it difficult to play much football, but we hope to put that right on Saturday.
“If we treat every one of our last 15 games as a cup final, we will finish strongly in the top 10.” Kick-off is 3pm.
