Belton Park Golf Club round-up




Trophies were presented when Belton Park Golf Club held their annual meeting for the junior section on Saturday morning.

With a strong turnout of junior members ranging from eight to 18 years of age, the meeting was attended by parents and guardians and also Belton Park officials.

Club captain David Brighton, ladies captain Sue Hodgson, ladies president Sue Walker-Sherriff, past president Trevor Ireland and PGA Professional/junior coach Josh Smith were all present for the event along with Ian Whyte and David Payne who are members of the Belton Park management committee.

The whole Golf Sixes (under 14s) team received their trophy after being crowned Lincolnshire South champions

Multiple winner Blake Smith received the Stanrene Cup, Nett Junior Club Championship and Bill Whyte Trophy.

Harry Chambers also took home a trophy haul after winning the Ancaster Shield, Jeremy Grace Trophy, Donald Watson Trophy, Paul Woods Trophy and Teddy Edwards Trophy.

Other winners were: ADA Shield – Nathan Williams, Ian Ward Trophy – Jack Parker, Trevor Ireland Trophy - Charlie Morris, Junior Organisers Award - Joe Boyle.
