Kesteven Rugby Club are staging their President’s Day

Kesteven Ladies will kick-off the President's Day celebrations at the club on Sunday.

The K's side have enjoyed their most successful ever season after finishing third in Women's NC 2 Midlands (North).

They will be taking on a 'barbarian' style opposition with players from local teams as well as some of Kesteven's own retired players in their first-ever appearance at the club's showpiece event.

Captain Zoe Osborn said: "We are super excited to be included in the line-up this year, allowing us to showcase the growth of the ladies game.

"It will also allow us to give retiring player Kerri Arlando and retiring coach Martyn Parker a home send off."

The ladies' match gets underway at 1.15pm and will be followed by the men's first team at 3pm as they tackle a side selected by president Angus Shaw.

There will also be a minis and juniors presentation during the day as well as a Big Boot competition and the bar will be open to all.
