Lewis Pittam of the Siiap Muay Thai club in Grantham will be making his bow in Birmingham
A fighter from Grantham is looking to put his home-town on the Muay Thai map in his debut bout next month.
Lewis Pittam will be making his Muay Thai bow in Birmingham.
He fights out of the Siiap Muay Thai (Wellbeing-program/Midlands MMA) club in Grantham which has been running for just over a year.
And club owner Patrick Ward hopes Pittam's upcoming bout will help raise the profile of the sport in the town.
He said: "As far as I know, Lewis will be the first person in Grantham to fight out of a Muay Thai club in this town.
"It's big for Grantham and puts us on the map for the Muay Thai scene."
Pittam's fight is taking place at the H Suite in Birmingham on Saturday, February 8.
He is hoping for a strong show of support from the town and tickets cost £35.
They are available by contacting the Siiap Muay Thai gym or visiting the event website.
