Lisa Udall from Belvoir Triathlon Club has qualified for the World Standard Distance Aquabike Championships in Malaga, Spain

An athlete from the Belvoir Triathlon Club has received backing from a Grantham business in her quest for World Championship glory.

Lisa Udall has recently qualified for the World Standard Distance Aquabike Championships in Malaga, Spain, which takes place in October.

Grantham-based Four Seasons Future Planning Ltd are sponsoring Lisa who has been racing in multi-sport events for the past five years.

She was crowned national champion for middle distance triathlon in June of last year after proudly returning home with a gold medal.

She then qualified for the world championship event last September after finishing fourth in her age group at the standard distance qualifier.

The event at St Neots consisted of a 1,500 metre swim in the River Ouse which was followed by a 40km rolling bike course.
