AFC Colsterworth Sports and Social on the verge of title success in the Nottinghamshire Senior League
A first half hat-trick from Nathan Brettoner was enough to see off FC Pelican as Colsterworth Sports and Social Club moved another step closer to securing the league title on Saturday.
The Apples' fourth goal came in the second half of the Nottinghamshire Senior League Division Two clash courtesy of top goalscorer Sam Scothern.
The visitors also scored before and after that as they eventually ended the game with nine men when tempers began to boil over.
However, Colsterworth managed to keep their discipline meaning they now only need four more points from their last three games to win the league.
That can be achieved earlier if results go the Apples' way this weekend as they travel to play Nottingham Greens while title rivals Rushcliffe visit fourth-placed South Notts for their last match of the season.
Colsterworth's final two games are against The Rossoneri and Notts Olympic.
