He succeeds chairman Paul Rawden who has been in temporary charge following the departure of Louis Bland.

A club statement said: "Bringing a wealth of experience from his days as a professional player, Nathan is poised to lead the Gingerbreads into a new chapter.

"Club chairman Paul Rawden warmly welcomes Nathan to the helm, recognising his passion for the game and commitment to fostering talent.

"With Nathan’s dynamic leadership and deep understanding of football, fans can expect innovative strategies and an invigorated team spirit on the pitch.

"Join us in supporting Nathan Arnold as he steps into this pivotal role. Let's rally behind our team and embark on this exciting journey together."

As a player, Arnold made more than 100 appearances for Mansfield Town before joining Alfreton and Cambridge United ahead of his spells with the Mariners and Imps.

His first step into management saw Arnold take charge of United Counties League side Bourne Town.

He had further spells with Newark Town, Newark and Sherwood United, Cleethorpes Town and was with Sleaford Town in the United Counties League last season.
