A series of outstanding performances have helped Priory Ruskin Academy to glory in a national competition.
The Under 16 mixed team triumphed in the Milano Gymnastics national finals held at Stoke-on-Trent.
The team of Matty Mccaul, Darcy Barlow and Miley Duffy beat 15 other schools from all over Britain to take the title with all staff and students at the Grantham school incredibly proud of their fantastic achievement.
Alan Gunter, who is associate headteacher and PE teacher, commented: "All at Ruskin are extremely proud of the incredible achievement of our talented and driven gymnasts.
"Our pupils have worked exceptionally hard to develop their levels of performance with great attention to detail, enabling them to take the national title.
"We feel very thankful to have staff that are able to support pupils to this level of success - a big thanks to Miss Drinkwater and Miss Fearnley for their continued support."
The team began their competition with their group performance, followed swiftly by vault and individual floor events.
All three students performed to their best, with the group floor scoring the joint highest mark.
Individual highlights for the team included Matty being the highest scoring boy on floor and, out of nearly 50 gymnasts, Darcy was the highest scoring gymnast overall and Miley was third.
Headteacher Rachel Wyles commented: "This is an outstanding accolade for our students and an absolute testament to their hard work, resilience and dedication.
"What fantastic role models they are not only to our students but the local and wider community."
Organisers also announced the result for the Under 16 mixed regional trophy.
Priory Ruskin's score was combined with St George's of Sleaford which meant the East Midlands were placed first.
