Shaun and Tom Balfe head to Oulton Park in Cheshire for the Fun Cup Endurance Championship
Having already beaten their first benchmark of a top 10 finish in the opening round of this year's Fun Cup Endurance Championship, Fulbeck's Shaun and Tom Balfe head for Oulton Park in Cheshire this Saturday for round two of the event.
They both get to test their car on Friday before the four hour race on Saturday has lights out at 12.45pm, following a morning qualifying session.
"It's been odd not racing at Easter or the May Day Bank Holiday weekends after so many years, but I'm ready for this Saturday’s Fun Cup race," said Shaun.
"We haven't really planned any changes to the car since our debut at Brands Hatch, but feel we are more prepared and understand the format of the race and how everything works, so that will help us understand it more."
It's another quality grid line-up with Shaun and Tom up against a number of former Fun Cup champions with a mix of experienced drivers and some virtual novices.
Eighth at Brands in the opening round has forced a rethink on this weekend's target.
"We want to be near the top, so eighth or better," Shaun explained.
"Thomas started at Brands and learned a lot so he will probably start the race again but we need to be more strategic.
"He double stinted to finish at Brands too, so it’s another possibility."
The race will be live streamed again and can be viewed via the Fun Cup Endurance website.
