YOUTH FOOTBALL: Bright future for Bottesford FC youngsters
Bottesford FC under-7s are looking forward to a bright future after they recently took delivery of brand new kit thanks to the generous support of the local community and sponsors.
The kit was funded by parents undertaking a crowd funding exercise, which generated £300, as well as sponsorship from The Nottingham Building Society.
Steven Smith and Sunny Johal from the Nottingham BS paid a visit to the squad and handed over a cheque for £250 to help the team on their way.
The funding means that Bottesford FC will be able to run two under-8 five-a-side teams in the New Newark Youth League next season.
l Bottesford under-12s are on the hunt for a new coach to help the team move forwards.
They currently play in the Young Elizabethans Sunday League in Nottingham.
The club requires a minimum Level 1 coaching certificate, and an enthusiastic approach for the role.
Bottesford FC has 13 teams from under-7s right through to a senior first team and has ambitious plans for the future. A significant new clubhouse project is underway, which has attracted significant backing from the FA and the Football Foundation, to be opened for the start of the 2016/17 season.
