Arrests made within two hours of armed robbery at Holbeach jewellers

Two men have been arrested after an armed robbery this afternoon.

Police were called to a report of an armed robbery at PG Jewellery and Collectables on West End in Holbeach today (Friday, May 30).

Damage had been caused within the store and jewellery items are believed to have been taken.

The incident took place at 12.19pm, however two men were in custody within two hours following an operation involving armed officers.

“Following information received, a rolling roadblock was put in place, a stinger was deployed, and the vehicle in which the two suspects were travelling was stopped at 1.58pm near to the Retford turn off on the A653,” a Lincolnshire Police statement said.

“Armed officers were called in to support the arrest.

“Two men have been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and remain in custody for questioning.”
