Holbeach Meadows Care Home residents get competitive as they enjoy a new games room as part of makeover
Table tennis, bar skittles and a garden view are just some of the additions in a care home that has had a makeover.
Residents at Holbeach Meadows will be able to enjoy a new games room which also offers pool and air hockey, darts and giant Connect 4.
Manager Gemma Woodcock said: “I am delighted with our new games room, my ultimate goal is for the residents to be able to live life to the full and enjoy themselves and their time with us.
“We have a busy activity programme every month, as well as a library filled with a multitude of books, DVDs, games, puzzles and activities that residents can enjoy at any time of the day, together or with visiting friends and family.
“The games room with the amazing multi-games table, is an incredible addition and already proving popular.”

The addition of a multi-games table provided by Liberty Games will encourage residents to keep active on a daily basis – with air hockey particularly bringing out their competitive side.
Mrs Woodcock said: “It is great fun and another space they can enjoy.”
There is now a lounge and dining room on each floor meaning that residents are able to dine overlooking the garden and sit outside in the summer.
She added: “For social time, be that games, activities or tea and chat, we have a comfortable lounge with a number of small group seating areas on each floor, as well as retaining the two homely lounge areas around the fireplace and TV on each floor.”
