Surrey man arrested on suspicion of hare coursing offence after Lincolnshire Police attend incident in Holbeach




A 28-year-old man from Surrey has been arrested on suspicion of committing a hare coursing offence after an incident in Holbeach.

A member of the public reported an incident in Penny Hill Road to police at 9.39am yesterday (Saturday).

“A black Mercedes-Benz ML car was located before it made off from police, later being found to have crashed.

“A man, who is believed to have left the vehicle on foot, was later located and arrested by officers on suspicion of trespass with intent to pursue hares. He has since been released on bail.

“Three dogs were secured by officers, who looked after their welfare before transferring them to our secure kennels.”

Residents who spot hare coursing or poaching are urged to report incidents to police by calling 101.
