Holbeach Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS) to take part in Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts with original one-act play Right On Time




A theatre group will be performing in a festival of one-act plays at a seaside theatre.

Holbeach Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS) is performing an original play called Right On Time as part of the Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts.

It’s choice of play will be one of many adult and youth drama group’s performances at the Princess Theatre, Hunstanton on the weekend of June 19, 20, 21 July.

Sue McLaughlin from HATS said: “It is an original play written by Michael Slack.

“Our chairman Colin Robinson is directing.

“We were very lucky to get some funding from Shine Lincolnshire which will help with technical and lighting.”

The HDFA is an annual event that showcases drama groups performing one-act plays of their choice.

Each session will include two or three different plays while the last evening will be a red carpet awards which will include special entertainment and a presentation for the drama and dance Festivals.

HATS formed last November and put on their first pantomime production Beauty and Beast in April and they use the WI Hall in Park Road for rehearsals and productions.

The group will be performing music at Lutton Village Hall in September to help raise money for repairs.

They are also planning a pantomime for mid-January in 2025.
