A man charged in relation to the poisoning of three birds of prey has today (Wednesday October 16) appeared in court.

Red kites were nearly extinct in this country before a successful campaign to boost the population.

Mr Bryant, 40, is accused of offences relating to killing or taking birds of prey and this morning appeared at Boston Magistrates' Court.

No pleas were entered and Mr Bryant spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Marie Stace, representing the Crown Prosecution Service, asked for the case to be adjourned for a month.

The application was supported by defence barrister William McBarnet who was representing Mr Bryant.

Magistrates adjourned the case until 20 November when Mr Bryant will re-appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court.
