As more and more of us are finding ourselves indoors, then why not keep yourselves and even your children busy and create rag wreaths.

An Easter rag wreath is a fun and easy way to re-purpose pretty fabric scraps, while adding a bit of colour and joy to your front door.

Choose lots of different colours or prints of fabrics – you could even use old curtains, clothes and tablecloths.

Cut your range of fabrics into strips, roughly one inch wide and 10 inches long. Place them into piles so you can see how many you have of each pattern.

Start tying each strip onto the wire wreath form – this can be done in a particular pattern or randomly.

embellish your wreath with
tiny decorative eggs, as we have, or even use beads or pearls.

Tie a ribbon or twine around the top and hang it on your door.

This idea can be adapted for any occasion, such as birthdays and Christmas, or you could even create a special memory wreath for a child’s bedroom door made of their own special clothes. The possibilities are endless.
