World Book Day at Whaplode Primary in 2009

A real community effort from businesses, local organisations and parents of pupils at Whaplode Primary School provided sponsorship money for books.

The school's book pledge, in association with Usborne Children's Books, saw more than £1,500 raised for new books for the school.

Usborne's Annette Stafford said: "It was a fantastic amount to raise and it means students in every class will get the books that they choose."
