In June, 1985, Harlaxton Manor served for four days as the location scene for the CBS television movie ‘Last Days of General Patton’, starring George C. Scott (pictured, inset) in the title role.

The manor house was chosen for its apparent similarity to castle-type dwellings in Bavaria, of which country Patton was the Military Governor in the Second World War.
