NOSTALGIA: Holbeach workshop and Spalding ball in 2011

Holbeach children enjoyed a half-term workshop on the theme of friendship 10 years ago this week.

Spalding theatre company Act II worked with 24 children aged between two and 11 at the workshop in the town’s Reading Rooms.

Youngsters played games, took part in drama and made music with a junk band.

Fur and feathers was the theme of the Spalding and District Young Farmers Ball this week in 2011.

Feather bow ties, feather boas and fur and feather-trimmed hats were stylish tweaks to the black tie event.
