Hard work and quick arrangements helped to make the first Gleed Girls' School autumn fair a huge success.

The event raised more than £1,500 - which meant the school topped the £50,000 target to apply for technology status.

It was decided only at the end of the summer term to stage the fair, but teachers, parents and pupils all pulled together to put on the event.
