Spalding concert and school production in 2011
A musical group raised £150 for the Lincolnshire Free Press Children’s Fund 10 years ago this week.
The Ukulele Orchestra of Spalding held a concert in Ayscoughfee Gardens as part of the summer music series and asked for donations from the audience.
The orchestra is pictured below.
Spalding youngsters took to the stage 10 years ago for a new production written and directed by Spalding Flower Queen Daisy Ivatt.
Daisy, who was head of drama at Spalding’s Gleed Boys’ School, was in charge of the first school production for many years.
The school had teamed up with the Gleed Girls’ Technology College to put on a dark, mysterious play called The Trust.
