Ten years ago war veterans shared their experiences to Long Sutton students

Veterans from the Second World War spent the afternoon with year 10 and 11 students at Peele Community College 10 years ago.

During Remembrance week the veterans shared their personal experiences which were both frank and moving.

This was shown through pictures, words and poetry.

Ten years ago these year six children enjoyed taking part in their exciting Bikeability lessons.

Aysccoughfee Hall School pupils passed the important course and were putting what they had learnt into good practice.

Headteacher Clare Ogden said: " They particularly enjoyed cycling around Spalding town centre to put what they had learnt into action."

The Bikability lessons included taking part in a number of activities over four mornings, all in aid of ensuring the pupils understand the importance of road safety.
