Police name Lincoln man who died following assault
Police have named the man who died following an assault this week.
Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of 46-year-old Marc Glasscoe in Lincoln.
Mr Glasscoe died in hospital at 5.10pm on Sunday (June 16) after suffering serious injuries to his body and head on Friday.
“His family is being supported by specially trained officers, and ask for privacy at this time,” a Lincolnshire Police statement read.
“Our investigations are ongoing, and we continue to appeal for any dashcam or CCTV footage from the Newark Road and Frank Swaby Court area of Lincoln which will help us to piece together the movements of the people involved.”
Police believe the man was assaulted in or around the Frank Swaby Court area of Lincoln at point between noon and 4pm on Friday.
Five men aged 21, 31, 32, 33 and 36 have been arrested, as well as two women aged 28 and 32.
Detective Inspector Andy McWatt is leading the investigation and is appealing for witnesses and footage.
He said: “We know how concerning and frightening it will be for people to hear about this investigation and we are making it a priority to find out what happened. We really need all the help we can get from the public, and we’re asking you to come forward with anything at all you think might help.
"We would rather you come to us with information you are unsure of than risk not mentioning it, no matter how small you think it might be. The smallest piece of information can make a big difference in an investigation, as we’d rather have information and not need it, than miss a key detail.”
