Popular Lincoln restaurant will have licence reviewed after employing illegal workers

A popular restaurant employed illegal workers, Lincolnshire Police say.

Samba Brazil serves authentic grill and Brazillian rodizio at Lincoln’s Brayford Wharf.

It will now have its licence reviewed on the grounds that it has breached its conditions and to prevent crime.

A hearing will be held by the City of Lincoln Council next year.

A notice on City of Lincoln Council’s website says: “A review is sought on the grounds of:

“The prevention of crime and disorder

“The police have obtained evidence which indicates offences have occurred on the premises in relation to the employment of illegal workers

“Non-compliance of licence conditions.”

Parties have until January 6 to make statements for the licensing committee to consider.

This must be done by writing by contacting the team at City Hall.

The Local Democracy Reporting Service has contacted the restaurant for comment.
