Works to resurface Fiskerton Road, in Cherry Willingham, set to go ahead from May 28 with closures and diversions in place.
Works to improve a road’s surface are set to go ahead this month with closures and diversions in place.
Lincolnshire County Council has announced it will be resurfacing Fiskerton Road in Cherry Willingham from Tuesday, May 28 until Wednesday, June 12, during which time the street will be closed.
Costing £450,000, the improvements, which will see the potholes fixed, will be carried out from the road’s junction with Waterford Lane to the speed limit signs at the eastern end of the village.
“Because of the nature of these works, there will have to be no on-street parking while the resurfacing is happening,” said Karen Cassar, assistant director for Highways.
“As always, we will maintain resident access but, given the scale and type of improvement works we’re undertaking, delays will be likely, so we are advising that people allow more time for planned journeys.
A diversion route will be in place from C4 Fiskerton Road East, Lincoln Road, High Street, - C258 Chapel Road, Reepham Road, Fiskerton Road, Station Road, High Street, Hawthorn Road - A15 Lincoln Eastern Bypass – C4 Greetwell Road and vice versa.
“We will be continuing further resurfacing improvement works in the area, too,” Karen added.
“They will happen in July when works are planned on High Street / Croft Lane.
“We will make public the full details of these works nearer the time.”
The council thanked the public in advance for their patience and understanding while the works are carried out.
