LNT Care Developments plans for care home could be built in 300-home development on Chantrey Park in Market Rasen
Plans have been submitted for a large care home within a 300-home development.
The housing project on Chantrey Park in Market Rasen was granted permission in 2021, with construction now well underway.
The latest application from LNT Care Developments seeks to build a 66-bed care facility on the site.
The purpose-built three-storey building would be able either general residential care to the elderly or specialistic care for those suffering with dementia.
The site is currently farmland on the northern edge of Market Rasen, off the A46 Caistor Road.
The Leeds-based LNT Care Developments says it has “developed a series of care homes in a number of locations nationwide and has an excellent reputation for the quality of care accommodation that it provides.
“The development would generate between 50 to 60 jobs, the majority of which are expected to be offered to suitable candidates from the same local area.
“The facility would offer those in need of care an improved quality and choice of accommodation to that which exists within the local area at present.”
The potential residents are likely to come from Market Rasen or the surrounding villages, according to planning documents.
The Chantrey Park development, built by Chesnut Homes, promises a mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, at market and affordable rates.
The care home application is available for comment on West Lindsey District Council’s website, and will be determined by at a later date.
