Northamptonshire and Rutland Open Studios Festival launches on September 1 at Lamport Hall




Hundreds of artists will showcase their work at a month-long exhibition spanning two counties.

The Northamptonshire and Rutland Open Studios Festival launches at the start of next month.

The stable block at Lamport Hall, located between Market Harborough and Northampton, will house the exhibition until the end of September.

Director Mark Herrod said: “We are delighted to host the Central Exhibition for the Northamptonshire and Rutland Open Studios Festival once again. The collaboration between local artists and our historic venue creates a unique and inspiring experience.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to explore the exceptional creativity on display and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the exhibition.”

The festival features work by 317 artists across a range of artistic disciplines with live demonstrations on selected dates.

A mini masterpiece mystery postcard sale will also be running throughout the event. Visitors will be able to buy a postcard for £10 and discover which artwork they have bought at the end of the festival.

The exhibition runs throughout September starting on Sunday, September 1. It will be open Wednesday to Sunday each week from 10am until 4pm and admission is free.
