Car hit Knights of Oakham in High Street




A car crashed into a shop in a town high street.

Police were called to Oakham High Street just before 2.45pm today (Friday, January 26).

A report was made of a crash involving a pedestrian and a car.

The car then hit appliance shop Knights of Oakham.

Shop manager Kevin Naylor said: “We heard a rather large crash.

“A lady had just jumped in the door thinking it was going to head towards her.”

He added: “We are alright, just a bit shaken up.”

Kevin will not know if the shop is damaged until the car, which has been taped off by police, is removed.
