Music was provided by the Rowell Camerata Choir and the Ratby Co-operative Brass Band. Money raised from the concert will be donated to the NSPCC and Childline to help children in Rutland and Leicestershire.

Barbara Elsey, NSPCC community fundraising manager for the East Midlands, said: “The concert proved to be a sensational evening and I would like to thank all our guests and everyone at our NSPCC Rutland District.

“They are a team of real local heroes and the annual Christmas carol concert does so much to raise awareness for Childline, which is a lifeline for so many young people.

“It costs the NSPCC about £1,460 to run Childline for one hour, and with funds from great events like the Rutland Carol Concert, we will have the means to run the service 24/7 over the whole Christmas break. The money raised by the concert will make a great and meaningful difference to children and young people this Christmas.”
