For Rutland fundraising group receives £1,000 from Freemasons of the Vale of Catmos Lodge in Oakham
A 10th birthday gift will help a fundraising group to continue its work in the community.
For Rutland received £1,000 from the Freemasons of the Vale of Catmos Lodge in Oakham.
The group celebrated its 10th anniversary last week, having helped to fund two advisers at Citizens Advice Rutland for a decade.
Chairperson of For Rutland, Jeannette Warner, said: “We are celebrating our 10th year of fundraising for Citizens Advice Rutland and in that time, the specialist advisers have gained over £9.2 million for local people in the form of grants, debt write offs and benefit claims.
“We are delighted to have the support of the Vale of Catmos Lodge which comes with the recognition of the vital work carried out by the specialist advisers we fund.”
A cheque was presented by Worshipful Master Ian Scantlebury who told the volunteers: “You do fantastic work for the Rutland community and we are very happy to support you.”
