Police close road in Oakham near Rutland Memorial Hospital

A road was shut by police after a car crashed into a wall.

Cold Overton Road in Oakham was closed near Rutland Memorial Hospital after a car hit a garden wall and another vehicle at 9.25am (Wednesday, July 17).

Firefighters, police officers and paramedics attended, and the man who had been driving the car was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road has been reopened and the crashed vehicle was recovered at about 11.30am.

No arrests have been made.
