For Rutland fundraising group celebrates 10th anniversary

A garden party will be held to celebrate the work of a fundraising group as it reaches its 10th anniversary.

Volunteers from For Rutland will meet at Redhill Lodge in Barrowden to reflect on what they have achieved during the past decade.

The group raises money each year to pay for two non-medical advisers at Citizens Advice Rutland.

Its main fundraising events are the Good and New Clothes Sale in March and a bottle tombola at the Rutland County Show in June.

The celebration takes place on Friday, June 7 from 6pm until 8pm and is open to anyone. Tickets cost £30 which includes light snacks from Launde Farm Foods and drinks. Guests can also look around the extensive garden.

Tickets are available from www.forrutland.org.uk

In the past decade the advisers funded by For Rutland have helped people with long-term health conditions to recoup more than £9million in benefits, grants and debt write offs.
