1st Uppingham Brownies to host centenary tea party




A Brownie pack is hosting a tea party to celebrate the group’s 100th anniversary.

Former members and leaders of 1st Uppingham Brownies are invited to take part in the celebrations next month.

Anyone with connections to the group is invited to drop in for tea and cake.

Brownie leader Helen Swift said: “We would love former members to join us and share their memories at our celebration. We will have our archive and old uniforms on display and encourage people to bring along their badges, certificates, annuals, photographs and camp blankets.”

The tea party takes place on Saturday, October 12 from 2-5pm at the Scout hut in Gainsborough Road, Uppingham. Anyone planning to attend is asked to call 01572 823365 or email uppinghambrownies@btinternet.com in advance.
