Currently, there is no permanent signage on Centenary Field, and unlike other public recreational areas in the town there is very little public information on display.

The new signs, which are painted green and have remembrance poppies and the coat of arms of Oakham Town Council on them, also have information how to contact the council.

Centenary Field, which is about five acres (1.97 hectares) in size, has been leased by the council since April 13, 2015, for a period of 99 years, from the Tresham Institute.

The signs will be placed at Cutts Close, Royce’s Recreation and Willow Crescent and should be installed no later than May 2024.
