Ark Association celebrates 40 years of childcare in Rutland
A nursery manager is calling for families to share their memories to help create an anniversary scrapbook.
The Ark Association is celebrating 40 years of caring for children in Oakham.
The nursery started life as a playgroup in Northgate in 1984 and has expanded to two sites in Princess Avenue and at Oakham CE Primary School in Burley Road.
Senior manager Mica Foort hopes to create a scrapbook of memories to celebrate the 40th anniversary.
She said: “We are asking for past and current staff, families and children to share their memories or funny stories so that a memory scrapbook page can be added to our website.
“We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you for all of the support from the families of Rutland, both past and present. The Ark would not be where it is today without all of you.”
Children were treated to an anniversary party to mark the occasion while the staff enjoyed an evening out.
Nursery memories can be sent by email to mica@the-ark.org.uk
