Oakham Rugby Club are beating by Dunstable in Counties 2 Midlands East (South)

With no derbies this year or even a Leicestershire side, Oakham had a long trek to Dunstable for their second match of the Counties 2 Midlands East (South) season.

With Oakham captain Will Bell not being available, it was already a changed team for their second game and the Rutlanders soon realised that this division has some very good teams.

Although 29-3 down at half-time, Oakham somewhat rallied in the second period with try scorer Sam Weatherall seeing his effort converted by Will Andrews in a final score of 44-10.

Oakham have a home fixture against Northampton Casuals on Saturday will hopefully return to winning ways against the visitors' big forwards.

Oakham's newly formed veterans play their first match on Saturday against Bourne so there is lots of rugby to look forward to this weekend.
