Casterton College pupil Sean O’Donnell is aiming to represent the Republic of Ireland at the Under 18 European Championships in Slovakia
Athlete Sean O'Donnell is hoping to take the next step towards securing international selection this weekend.
The Casterton College pupil is aiming to represent the Republic of Ireland at the Under 18 European Championships in Slovakia.
He is travelling to Dublin this weekend to race in the first of four graded meetings where he is bidding to reach the criteria for selection.
This will lead to the Dublin Championships at Santry Stadium on June 8 and 9 where the 16-year-old will again be aiming to attract the attention of the selectors.
O'Donnell is a member of the Peterborough & Nene Valley Club who he has represented in the 60, 100 and 200m events this year.
