Rutland Running Club compete in the Burghley 7 event in Stamford

Rutland Running and Triathlon Club returned some top class results from the Burghley 7 event at the weekend.

Club secretary Julia Mannering, David Summers and Robert Wright were first, second and third in their age groups respectively.

Equally impressive with fifth, sixth and seventh were Shaza Brannon, Sue Tonge and Chris Jones.

The Burghley 7 event is always a Rutland Running and Triathlon Club favourite but the glorious weather seemed to ensure an even better than usual turnout.

Thirteen club members took part and as always there were some truly admirable performances with the club again punching above its weight.
