Leicestershire League cricket round-up
Uppingham Town were toasting a second successive clean sweep of wins in the Leicestershire League on Saturday.
After their hat-trick haul of victories the previous weekend, the first, second and third teams were again triumphant on Saturday.
The first team beat Loughborough Town by 61 runs in Division One while the second team secured a four-wicket success at Blaby in Division Six East.
The third team wrapped up the treble without bowling a ball as they were handed the points in Division Nine East when Countesthorpe 4ths conceded their clash.
Jamie Dumford and Hayden Brough both half-centuries for the first team as they made 217-7 after electing to bat first at Castle Hill.
Mark Cox had also made 35 for Town before starring with ball as he delivered a match-winning spell of 6-26 from nine overs as Loughborough were bowled out for 156.
Scott Green claimed 2-34 while there was a wicket apiece for Ryan Sheehan and Ben Lobban as Town moved up into third place in the table.
Uppingham 2nds were also in fine form in the field as they bowled out hosts Blaby for 91 with Harry Cox, Kashif Munir, Freddy Williamson and Charlie Burgess all taking two wickets each.
Ben Harford then hit 33 and Munir made 24 as Uppingham secured the win inside 23 overs.
Oakham lost out by two wickets in an excellent Premier Division contest with Loughborough Town.
They made 236 after batting first with with Will Begy top-scoring with 66 while Steve Flowers finished on 44.
Harry Tyler took three wickets in the Loughborough reply but the hosts edged home with just three balls remaining.
Oakham's third team were 36-run winners in their home Division Eight East match with Bitteswell 2nds.
They scored 193-7 with opener Neil Southern making 43 while Ben Southern added 25 and Simon Hodgson hit 29 not out.
Southern then claimed 4-26 while Graeme North returned 3-19 as Bitteswell were bowled out for 157.
Market Overton's first team match at Electricity Sports was cancelled while the seconds lost by five wickets against Blaby 2nds in Division Nine East.
Marko made 138 after batting first with Jacjk Adams making 34 and Mark Robinson adding 33.
Chris Collings claimed 2-16 in a tidy 10-over spell while Sarah Musson took 2-27 as Blaby passed their target inside 34 overs.
