Boston Road in Spilsby to face 7 weeks of disruption from April 29 for £200,000 footpath repair

Work to improve a town footpath is set to go ahead with disruptions that will last for several weeks.

Residents are being thanked in advance for their patience as work to give Spilsby’s Boston Road a “makeover” gets underway between Monday, April 29 and Monday, June 10.

The £200,000 project will last seven weeks and will see the footpath between Church Street and Barley Close get new crossing points as well as better quality, more durable pavement.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place.

Assistant director of highways at Lincolnshire County Council, Karen Cassar said: ”With works on this scale, some disruption will be inevitable but we’re doing all we can to keep this to an absolute minimum.

“That being said, I’d like to thank anyone affected by the works in advance for their patience and advise those travelling in and around the area to leave some extra time for your journeys while we carry out these improvements.”
